                                     Looking at the bright side!
At my school we had something called track and field. There are track and field events and everyone has to do 2 of them, for example, standing long jump and ball throw, and 100 meters and 200 meters of running (this is what I picked). we were in small groups for running. There were only 2 other people in my group and they were faster then me but I was still confident I would be fast. I was around 15 cm from the person in front of me and it took me 15 seconds to run 100 meters! My friends group was after mine so I got to see her run too, she came at 16 seconds or so and she felt quite sad. I told her that after all she was racing with some of the fastest people in the 6th grade and that she was really fast. Then we had 200 meters. We were in our same groups and the same order. When my group ran I was nervous, 200 meters was a lot and I was scared I would be behind by a lot! We started running and eventually we all got tired, my group jogged and I came last again! I got 59 seconds and I was proud of it! My friend once again ran after I did and she got around a minute. She was very sad so I told her all the good things in the event and that its nothing  more then just an sport event and that its not important. Then since it was the end of the day we walked away holding our participation ribbons and smiling.

                                  Answers to your questions.
I have see many people ask many questions on my blog and well I think it is about time I answers them!
The questions are from the posts called "what does mental mean?"and "math just got harder". The questions are:

When did you find out about your APD?
Good question! My parents found out about it when I was in grade one, so around the age of 5-6. They just said I had a literacy problem until the time around the end of February and beginning of March in 2013. I found out I had Dyslexia in grade 3 or so.

Is it easier for you to do word problems or just calculations?
Great question! If by calculations you mean adding like 9+9=18 then yes it is easier then math word problems. people with APD have trouble with word problems but I cant say I'm great at calculations either!

Thank you for your questions and so sorry that not a lot of new posts are added, I will only be posting 1 every week!

                                 A story from a friend
Many of you might have saw this in the comments but one of my friends wrote this. I have copied this word by word not correcting any thing and this is all true!

im going to write this as anonymous cuz im not allowed to say who it is. my cousin has ADHD and it effects the whole family. everytime he (10) his younger brother (8) and his youngest sister (3) come over for a family dinner he never plays games with us and if he does he is always arguing therefore its really hard for us to get along and play normally which means fights. i feel that the one that is effected the most is his younger brother. the reason i say this is because everyone one loves an adorable 3 year old, so she gets attention. since my cousin with ADHD has ADHD and is hard to control (in the nicest way possible) he gets attention. the only one that doesnt get attention is my young cousin. this means he does everything he can to get noticed my his parents even if it means crying over things which is not worth crying about or using violence on my cousin with ADHD. that means my cousin with ADHD gets really angery and hits him back, there is no way to controll his emotions. this usually leads to most of the FAMILY fighting. my cousin goes to a special school because HIS school couldn't handle him. its a very rough and challenging time for all of us but one day we will get over it.

                                         Math just got harder
There are many people that are just bad at math.....
People with APD make math look even harder. First of all we have trouble concentrating in class. Also its hard to understand what the teacher is saying, we can't understand what the numbers like fractions, what is the denominator  What's a numerator? Not long ago my class had a test on fractions and all the questions were word problems and I had some trouble with them. I really dislike math word problems. My friends sometimes will also get stressed out with math, but for me it's different because I have a APD and dyslexia. They don't understand how different it is for me to do math then it is for me. It takes a really long time for me to do a math work sheet and once in  a while I feel slow.
That is all I hope that if you have APD  then remember you are not alone.

                                  What does "mental" mean?
I hear many people say the word mental, but what does it mean? Many people use this word to describe a disabled person.  People say mental in a bad way which I think is very mean! To be honest I also use the word mental but that was before I found out I had APD. I hope all of you do use the word disabled of different if you ever need to. Many people might say this when they see a disabled person " Wow that person is so mental!" or "That person is mental so they are like so weird!" I know many may think disabled people are weird but I'm not weird even if I have a disability. I am raising awareness and getting public so you should to, you can make a difference.
